Best Salsa Recipes – What You Need to Know

Salsa is one of the most amazing things that can be added to any of your foods. A very common dish that is served at a Mexican restaurant is chips and salsa. We love chips and salsa in my household. There are so many ways to make salsa. You can use different types of peppers like jalapeno, habaneros, serrano peppers and so many others. There are 100’s of variations of salsa that you can make. Some salsa recipes even call for fruit like mangos. I have never added fruit to my salsas but doesn’t mean that I will not. The most common salsa that we make is super easy.

Easy Salsa Recipe:

  • Start with 1 Jalapeno or any Pepper of your choosing. (Jalapeno, Serrano, Habanero, etc,) The more you use the hotter it gets.
  • 4-6 Tomatoes. My ratio for the tomatoes is 6 to 1 jalapeno. Creates a mild salsa.
  • 2-3 garlics
  • 1/2 an onion
  • Hand full of cilantro. You can add as you desire. If you like it add more if you don’t leave it out.
  • 1-2 teaspoons of salt – depends on your taste

One of the easiest ways to make salsa is just boil the tomatoes with the jalapeno until they become soft. I add all of the ingredients into a blender and blend everything up. You can see how easy it is in my videos. Check out my TiKTok videos to see how you can make the salsa.

It’s complete fine to experiments with peppers and ingredients. There are other ways to make salsa. You can roast the peppers and tomatoes. You can fry them in a bit of oil. Sky’s the limit. You can use other ways to mash them up. One popular items Latinos use a a mortar or what we like to say is a molcajete. No matter what you can play with the recipe and be creative. Chips and salsa is a great snack that the whole family can enjoy.
