You can call it old school but it’s a very common thing to make in a Latin home. Some of the best memories I have is playing with the dough as a child and trying to help make tortillas and they come out looking like a the state of California. NOPE! They were not always round.
Practice makes perfect! My mother is a pro at making the best homemade flour tortillas. She wakes up at 5 am a daily basis and makes the best flour tortillas for her clients, friends, family and church members. Homemade Flour Tortillas Board (Lazy Suzie): Best way to turn this into a board is dismantle the bottom part of the Lazy Suzie and turns into a great board to rolling out your homemade flour tortillas. Make sure that any board you use is steady at the bottom and the way to do so is by putting a good size towel at the bottom of the board to help steady the board. I use this tabletop burner only to cook my tortillas. I don’t want anything sticking to them and want to see my flour tortillas cook nicely. They burner should be non stick, flat.
